Is Intermittent Fasting Safe for Airline Pilots?

Commercial Airline Pilot Chris Lowery and his wife, Terri are highly successful Intermittent Fasters, even with an aviation lifestyle.

Curious if this will work for you? Grab my Intermittent Fasting Guide!

Here is their story:

Airline Pilot's have a lot of responsibility and their medical condition is always of top concern since they are required to submit to and pass a regular FAA Flight Physical in order to keep their license and continue to fly.

Anyone who travels frequently for a living, much like an airline pilot, knows the challenge of finding truly healthy, nutritious food while on the go.

Combine that with the long lines, shorter hours and short staffed found at airport restaurants, and it can add up to a real challenge to eat well and stay healthy on the road.

Chris was stunned when he saw himself in photos after his brothers wedding. He was around 70-80 pounds above the weight he wanted to be. That started him on the journey of losing weight, which led him to Intermittent Fasting.

Like me, Chris found Dr. Jason Fung, and the rest was history.

In this episode, we cover his start in Aviation, and his journey as an airline pilot to lose weight and get healthy through Intermittent Fasting.

There are many ways to be successful, and one of the things I teach in my Intermittent Fasting Guide is to start slowly and rationally. Don't try to change too much too quickly!

Here are some simple steps you'll find in the Intermittent Fasting guide:

  • Don't worry about counting calories; this is NOT a diet
  • Cut out snacking
  • Start with a 12/12 program - aa 12 hour window for eating, and 12 hours where you consume nothing but water, black coffee or tea (no sweeteners
  • Don't focus on the number on the scale, but rather how your clothes fit; how you feel; and other changes

There are many reasons to try Intermittent Fasting, besides losing weight!

Fasting is a method of eating and living that has the potential to improve your overall health, functionality and longevity.

It is NOT starvation; it is not a diet. It is not a fad.

It’s free, it’s flexible, and it’s sustainable. You can Intermittent Fast anywhere, with no advanced planning, other than getting your mind straight.

The focus is on WHEN you eat vs. just what you eat.

How much time money and energy have you already invested into various diets, supplements, jungle juice, powdered this, powdered that, liquid this, liquid that, and not experienced the results you were promised?

It’s free, it’s flexible, and it’s sustainable.

WHEN you eat vs just what you eat.

We program our body habitually. We program it to need caffeine. To eat at specific times. Marketing has programmed us to believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and do you know where that came from?

The Kellogg’s cereal brand. Over time, as it was repeated in commercials and marketing, the public began to believe it as fact. Do your own deep research and find where this has ever actually been proven.

My conversations with hundreds of women (and men) just like you have confirmed what's happening as we age, and what's possible if we become aware, adapt and take action.

Here are some other benefits of Intermittent Fasting for Airline Pilots and anyone:

  • Hormone balancing

  • Better Sleep
  • Fat Adaptation and Metabolic Flexibility
  • Reduced Risk of Developing Type 2 Diabetes
  • Overall Improved Health
  • Younger Looking Skin

What if it works for you like so many others?
